Bennie is the founder of Resalt, an agricultural soil and fertilizer consultancy. He has 30 years of practical experience in various fields within commercial agriculture. These include research, product development, fertilization, composting, soil and cultivation practices and training. He is a proponent of holistic management and systems thinking.
Wendy has worked as an environmental consultant and project manager for over 10 years, focusing on water quality, pollution and waste management. She has worked in academia, governance and an environmental consultancy. She is also involved in efforts facilitating community development and social cohesion, with a strong network of collaborators in local municipal departments.

Shelly was the Sustainable Agriculture, Fruit and Wine Programme Manager for WWF South Africa until June 2025. She has branched out as an individual consultant. She is a conservation ecologist, with practical knowledge and experience in the restoration and management of ecosystems within the agricultural context in South Africa. She also led the Biodiversity Champions programme in the SA Wine industry.
Yvette is a landscape architect, farmer, and soil restoration expert dedicated to healing land and soil through sustainable practices. As the founder of Rethinktheland and Yamù Botanicals, Yvette integrates her understanding of indigenous plants and their cultural significance into her work. She fosters harmony between agriculture, wilderness, and personal garden spaces. She is committed to soil stewardship, biodiversity conservation, and reconnecting people with the wisdom of nature’s pharmacopoeia. John is a helicopter pilot turned farmer. He managed Buffet Olive Farms for 25 years and served in various managerial positions within the SA Olive Growers Association. Since 2020 he is the leading consultant in the SA Olive industry, providing farmers with hands-on experience in all aspects of olive production, as well as in relationship management and the training of farm workers.

He has lectured at Stellenbosch University and is the manager of Pre-harvest Production and Quality at the CRI (Citrus Research International). He is a director of LabServe Laboratories in Stellenbosch, specializing in soil, water, and plant analyses.

Buks is a registered water utilisation engineer and is the director at Water & Wastes Utilisation Solutions (Pty) Ltd (WWUS). He has more than 30 years’ experience in industrial water, wastewater and wastes management, including all relevant technologies. He has experience in source management and control studies and in the treatment of wastewater, principally industrial wastewater. WWUS is a multi-disciplinary consultancy providing specialist services in water and wastes utilisation, specifically the engineering and science fields.
Gideon was the director of the Stellenbosch University Water Institute until 2025, as well as holding South African and Canadian Research Chairs in the last decade. He currently leads a research team in Applied and Environmental Microbiology. His recent focus has been the environmental impact and treatment of persistent organic pollutants and microplastics. His team develops accessible, real-time monitoring for endocrine disruptors and micropollutants.

Leopoldt was the previous Dean of Agricultural Sciences and later the Chief Operations Officer (COO), Rector and also Vice Chancellor of Stellenbosch University. He is currently involved in the Academy of Environmental Leadership in Upington (the Northern Cape of South Africa; AFEL), providing tailored training and community development in conservation and agriculture. He is also experienced in finance, economics and business development.
