We provide the technical expertise to support regenerative urban and agricultural land development. This expertise rests on a growing database of regenerative activities. The aims of this database are to support new development, improve transparency and data sharing, and connect local regenerative practitioners with each other.
We have organized these activities according to:
- industry (VinEcology®, Olive-Ecology®, Citrus-Ecology®, Urban-Ecology®)
- enterprise (farm, business, brand), and
- regenerative intervention (livestock herding, cover crops, wetland management, etc.)
We log each activity in an audited database, focusing on increasingly rigorous and consistent sampling and data collection strategies. Thus, each enterprise gains ownership over their own data.
We also follow the story for marketing and communication.
For each regenerative intervention we plot:
- the science (one to two key parameters),
- the economics (one table),
- the carbon (one table), and
- a short paragraph describing some pitfalls and realistic tips.
This Knowledge Hub will support each business by
1. developing a database of their own regenerative activities, so that they can be interrogated (controls, replicates, metadata), and
2. communicating the stories of each enterprise, to market their activities and act as transparent and collaborative leaders.
This Knowledge Hub will support the landscape by
1. facilitating the collective uptake of these activities, and
2. facilitating a relational emergence of standardised language, methodologies and practices.
We invite new farmers and developers to contact RoE or search this Knowledge Hub for guidance and tips.
The ‘school fees’ have been paid by many local pioneers. Let’s prevent duplication by facilitating communication and co-development.
